Our Services

GCFSS offers tailored family services, providing holistic support to meet each family's unique needs. With a focus on cultural safety, our team ensures families receive the assistance needed to achieve their personal goals.
Our Post-Majority team supports youth (ages 19-27) who were formerly in care under the Extended Family Program and youth agreements and reside on reserve. We offer assistance with finances, education, life skills, cultural connections, and access to Indigenous holistic counselors. Elders provide guidance, and our genealogy worker helps youth understand their Gitxsan house group, Wilp, and cultural duties.
The Cultural Department at Gitxsan Child & Family Services provides holistic, culturally appropriate support to children and families, guided by Gitxsan traditions, protocols, and the Child, Family and Community Services Act. Through culturally based experiences and the Hereditary Structure, the department fosters community connections and promotes healthy Gitxsan families.
